Hagan Reception 11 06 10 19 Larae and Robert Hagan Wedding Reception October 16, 2010Larae and Robert were great to work with!  When we did our final consult, basically what I was told is that they want their guests to have a great time.  Robert wanted lots of country songs that were good ole party favorites.  Larae wanted fun dance music.  We meshed the two together for a tremendous party!

The Sorosis building was decorated fabulously and Terri Lobb Catering did a fantastic job as always.  The monogram and lighting were a nice touch to everything else that Larae and Robert selected.  I truly enjoyed working with them and their family!

Some muscial highlights …

- Intro Song: Let’s Go (Instrumental) by Trick Daddy
- 1st Dance: I Cross My Heart by George Strait
- Cake Cutting: Keeper of the Stars by Tracy Byrd
- Father/Bride: Stealing Cinderella by Chuck Hicks
- Groom/Mother: Simple Man by Lynard Skynard
- Anniversary Dance: Making Memories of Us by Keith Urban
- Last Dance: Fit to be Tied by Sammy Kershaw

Morgan Reception 11 06 10 15 Elizabeth and Kyle Morgan Wedding Reception 10 23 10This was one incredible evening! Elizabeth and Kyle are such an amazing couple, I was looking forward to their reception from the moment that Elizabeth let me know that they wanted me as their DJ icon smile Elizabeth and Kyle Morgan Wedding Reception 10 23 10   This is the second reception that I’ve had the pleasure of working with this family as I did Kyle’s brothers wedding reception (Matt and Kali, check out there blog by clicking here).  Two totally different parties, but both perfect as per their visions of the reception.  Elizabeth and Kyle wanted a huge dance party once dinner was over and boy did they know how to party!

Portofino Bay Hotel is one of the most beautiful venues I’ve ever worked, you’d have to see it to truly appreciate just how amazing it really is.   I also did the sound for their ceremony (no pics or video, sorry), the weather was perfect that evening.  It was like a Cinderella fairytale!!!

Also got to work with Amanda McMahon for the 1st time, great photographer to work with (click here for her blog).  Can’t wait to see her photos of Elizabeth and Kyle’s wedding, they should be spectacular!

Some of the musical highlights:

Intro Song: Oh How Happy by Shades of Blue
1st Dance: Love Me Tender by Nora Jones
Cake Cutting: Love and Marriage by Frank Sinatra and How Sweet It Is by James Taylor

Amber and Bryan Myers Wedding Reception November 6, 2010

Myers Reception 11 06 10 6 Amber and Bryan Myers Wedding Reception November 6, 2010This was a unique wedding for me as I didn’t meet Amber and Bryan until the wedding. I did get to work with their amazing wedding planner though … Staci Mandikas from Unique Event Design (click her for Staci’s Blog).  She is an absolute pleasure to work and her finger prints were all over the little touches.

This was one cool reception (literally, it was in the 50′s before the reception ended).  I was worried that the cold temperature would keep everyone in the tent where the space heaters were located, but when the dancing started everyone stayed warm by shaking their booty’s icon smile Amber and Bryan Myers Wedding Reception November 6, 2010

1st Dance: Without You by My Darkest Days

Mendeola Reception 10 24 10 1 Alexandra and Miguel Mendeola Wedding Reception October 24, 2010Alexandra and Miguel are such an incredible couple!  I knew we were going to be a perfect fit from the 1st time I met with them.  The were looking for something outside the box and that is exactly what we delivered.  It was a small, intimate reception at The Grand Bohemian Hotel.  Everything looked gorgeous from the decorations to the bride.  We had so much fun, I was asked to do a live mix of Alexandra’s favorite Madonna songs, played everything from Marilyn Manson to Stero MC’s.  Also got to use our new LED Starballs, they are what gives the mirror ball effect.  Some of the musical highlights:

Introduction: Born To Be My Baby (Accoustic Version) by Bon Jovi
1st Dance: My Baby You by Marc Anthony
Father / Daugher Dance: Morena Ven by Oscar de Leon

Lake Ashton is one of the most beautiful venues in Central Florida and with the decor that Britni and John picked, it just popped! Britni wanted her reception to be filled with fun and dancing, especially current dance music. I got to mix songs that I rarely get requested at weddings, it was great fun!!

Some of the highlights of the evening:

- 1st dance: Making Memories of Us (this was a special song that John picked for Britni)
- Parents Dances: The Man You’ve Become (John and his mom Janet) and I Loved Her 1st (Britni and her dad Robin)
- Cake Cutting song: What a Wonderful World
- Bridal Party Dance: Friends by Michael W Smith into Cupid Shuffle

Danielle and Jason Grebs Wedding Reception March 27, 2010

IMG 5009 Danielle and Jason Grebs Wedding Reception March 27, 2010I truly enjoyed getting to work with Danielle and Jason Greb, they are the kind of couple that makes what I do so enjoyable!  I love working with couples that are so into each other and Danielle and Jason were exactly that.  Everytime I looked over at them they were touching, giggling, and carrying on like a newlywed couple should.

They held their reception at the Terrace Hotel in Downtown Lakeland FL.  I’ve worked at the Terrace many times through the years, but it had been a while since I had been there last.  They have a new staff working the banquets and they were top notch!  The room looked beautiful and everything ran like a well oiled machine.  Danielle and Jason added lots of personal touches that made the reception uniquely theirs.

Some of the musical highlights:

- 1st Dance – Let It Be Me by Ray Lamontange
- Introduction – I’ve Gotta Feeling by Black Eyed Peas
- Bouquet and Garter – Pink Panther, Single Ladies, Wishin’ and Hopin’, Theme to Rocky, Another One Bites the Dust

For a daytime reception, this one was outstanding!  Check out the photos (click on the thumbnail to see a larger photo) and video below, please please leave positive feed back, and as always … enjoy!

IMG 4794 Winter Haven DJ Wedding Disc Jockey at Admrials Inn for Whitener Reception February 27, 2010

I had the pleasure of being the DJ for Scott and Shawna Whitener’s wedding reception at the Admirals Inn in Winter Haven FL on February 27, 2010.  Shawna and Scott might have been the most laid back clients I’ve ever worked with.  They put their total trust into my hands to do whatever I wanted with their reception.  All I received as requests from them were the 1st dance song and both parents dance songs.  Lots of responsibility, but I enjoyed the creative control icon smile Winter Haven DJ Wedding Disc Jockey at Admrials Inn for Whitener Reception February 27, 2010

The reception went fantastic!  The guests had a great time and I even offered Scott a job if he’s ever interested (he did the best Groom thank you / introduction of his own bridal party that I’ve ever seen, I wish I would have taped it!).  Check out the photos and video, I truly enjoyed being their DJ / Master of Ceremonies and it’s always a joy to work with the staff at the Admirals Inn.  I also had the opportunity to work with Donna from Everlasting Memories Photography, very nice to work with and extremely professional!

So please enjoy the photos, check out the video at the bottom (don’t forget to leave great comments, lol), and as always … enjoy!

In case I haven’t said it lately, I love my job! I get to work with wonderful couples on one of the best days of their lives. Curtis and Ashley Gillilan allowed me the honor of entertaining them and their guests on February 20, 2010 for their wedding reception. They held the reception at their grand parents home and it was beautiful! Once again I got to work with 3 of Highland Counties best wedding vendors. Gini Beth Henderson from Ginibeth’s Weddings and More was the wedding coordinator and she pulled of another amazing event!  Alex Gilliard was their photographer and is always awesome to work with!  Check out his blog of Ashley and Curtis’s wedding (click here).  The catering was done by the caterer from The Palms in Sebring FL.

Incredible couple … amazing ceremony and reception! I got to perform for one of our own DJs here at A Premier Entertainment, Mr. Josh Fain and his lovely bride Kelly. The got married (and held their reception) at Crystal River Church of God in Crystal River Florida. They had about 150 of their closest family and friends there to celebrate with them. It was a magical evening and I was absolutely honored to be a part of it! The gym area of the church was decorated whimsically with Christmas lights, the food was delicious, and the guests had a wonderful time hamming it up for the photobooth (Snap Yourself Silly Photobooths – 863-324-7333).  When we got to the dancing, it was off the chain!!!  Josh was the perfect groom, on the dance floor and leading the party.  I had so much fun, it was such a blast!

Some of the highlights:

- Kelly’s sisters toasts, I wish I had taped them, they were hilarious!
- 1st Dance to Michael Buble’s “Thats All”
- Parents Dances: Kelly with her dad to Darius Ruckers “It won’t be like this for long” and Josh with his mom to “Because You Love Me”
- The best YMCA Dance ever!!!

I didn’t take many photos of this reception as I was so busy with MCing and keeping things flowing, but with my lovely wife Christina’s help, I got a few very nice pics to go along with the vide0.  Please make sure to leave positive content and as always … enjoy!

A Premier Entertainment was well represented at Sarah and Aaron Whitaker’s wedding reception as myself, DJ Kyle Davis, and my wife Christina had the pleasure of working with this great couple and their family.  We not only got to provide the entertainment for the reception, we also brought a small light show and our newest, coolest enhancement … Oh Snap! Photobooths.  We had such a great time performing for them at the Quality Inn Conference Center in Sebring, FL.  The night was magical, love was in the air (not to mention snowflakes … in Florida)!!!  Not many people can say they got married in Florida while it was snowing, lol.  To see all the fun we had, check out the photos and video below.  Also be on the lookout for my next blog which is all about their photo booth experience!  Remember to leave some love on the bottom of the page and as always … enjoy!
