I knew I’d love working with Michell and Natalie when I saw that Michell’s email address was: iamasexymitch@xxxxx.xxx. Absolutely classic!! This reception was lots of fun (wish I had my video camera to show you, but unfortunately my dog ate my camera). Their wedding reception was held at Arbor Reception and Event Center in Arcadia (might not be open any more as I was told this was the last event they were doing before shutting down their doors), it was a neat venue … I hope that someone else keeps it open! Got to work with Pam from Southern Exposure and Paul & Matt from Motion Video (always a pleasure to work with all 3 of them).
Some of their musical highlights:
Grand Intro: Club Can’t Handle Me by Flo-rida
1st Dance: Flightless Bird, American Mouth by Iron and Wine
Last Dance: Me and You by Kenny Chensey

Every now and then we get to work with a Dream Team staff of vendors. You know, people you’d hand pick if you were having a wedding. Sarah and Paul built such a team for their wedding reception on June 18, 2011 at Eaglebrooke Golf and Country Club. Eaglebrooke is one of the top facilities in all of central Florida with Beth Primmer and her staff kicking butt and taking names. We got to work with Tim Hicklin from Storybook Weddings (one of my personal friends and amazing videographer). They hired Deana Brower from Sassy Soiree as their coordinator and Kelly Day of Kelly Day Photography. And to top it off, I tag teamed this one with Arnoldo again. This was an incredible assembly of vendors, but we were no match for Sarah / Paul / and their guests. It was such an awesome reception, non-stop action once we got to the dancing portion of the evening. And with the lighting we provided, Eaglebrooke looked even more amazing then usual.
Paul and Sarah got our Entertainment Coordinator Package and our D’Elegance Lighting Package.
Some of their musical highlights:
Grand Intro: All You Need Is Love by The Beatles
1st Dance: Love Never Fails by Brandon Heath
Father / Daughter Dance: Daddy’s Little Girl by Michael Buble’
Last Dance: Marry Me by Train

I love working at Eaglebrooke Golf and Country Club in Lakeland FL. I can honestly say that I’ve never had a poor experience there and Joleen and Nick Yunker’s Wedding Reception on March 26. 2011 was no exception. They were such a sweet couple and the group of family and friends they invited to the wedding were great to work with. It was a wonderful evening, I’m so very blessed to have so many awesome clients!
It was also great to work with on of my photographer friends, Alex Gilliard of Alex Gilliard Photography. Here is his blog from Nick and Joleen’s Wedding. Always great working with him!
The package that they choose was our Entertainment Coordinator Package and our TV Slide Show Package.
Some of their musical highlights:
Grand Intro: Bittersweet Symphony
1st Dance: All The Way by Frank Sinatra
Groom – Mom Dance: All To You by DJ Keo
Last Dance – Save The Last Dance For Me by The Drifters

Jenn and Brian are such a great couple, if only I could get Brian to like the Buc’s instead of the Dolphins
… seriously though, this couple was wonderful and I was so happy to be a part of their celebration. The had some last minute shuffling of venues and ended up at the Music Ranch in Lakeland. The venue is better suited for a small concert then a wedding reception, but with a little uplighting and great attitude, the place worked great! We did the ceremony outside and the reception on the inside. Once we got to dancing, the floor stayed packed until the very end (actually past the end as we I did an extra set because I was having so much fun).
Their package was the Entertainment Coordinator, ceremony, uplighting, and a small LED Dance Floor Light Show.
Some musical highlights:
Intro: I Gotta Feeling by BEP
1st Dance: When You’ve Got a Good Thing by Lady Antabellum
Last Dance: The Time (Dirty Bit) by BEP

Shana and Brandon had one of the coolest wedding receptions I’ve ever been a part of. Not only did their lighting package look amazing at The Castle – Holiday Inn Orlando Resort, but how often does the King come to your reception? Yes, Elvis was in attendance and he honored the couple with several of his greatest hits. When we got to the dancing portion of the reception, their choice in music was awesome! Check out the video to see for yourself
Their package included: Ceremony / D’Elegance Lighting (uplights, monogram, dance floor lighting).
Some musical highlights:
1st Dance: All My Life by K-ci and Jojo
Cake Cutting: Pour Some Sugar on Me by Def Leppard
Last Dance: Don’t Want To Miss A Thing by Aerosmith

Another amazing event at Lake Ashton! I had the pleasure of working with Gina and Blake Fann for their wedding reception on July 24th. We worked with KC Photographer and if you read my blog you know how much we love them
(www.polkphoto.com). It was a beautiful day, I tried to get a couple photos of the ceremony, but it doesn’t do it justice! We did some uplighting and we light up the cake table from underneath, the lighting looked fantastic!
Once we got to the dancing, our dance floor stayed pack from beginning to end. Gina and Blake were very particular with their requests, so I mixed from a list of their favorites and as you can see in the video (or not see in the video, it was kind of dark, sorry) the play list worked perfectly.
Some of their muscial highlights:
1st Dance: Love’s Holiday by Earth, Wind, and Fire
Father / Bride: Butterfly Kisses
Groom / Mom: Song for Mama by Boyz II Men
Cake Cutting: Smile by Uncle Cracker
Last Dance: Love You Til The End by The Pogues
Grand Exit: Magic Carpet Ride
I had a blast! Check out the photos and video, please leave me a comment, and enjoy!

Larae and Robert were great to work with! When we did our final consult, basically what I was told is that they want their guests to have a great time. Robert wanted lots of country songs that were good ole party favorites. Larae wanted fun dance music. We meshed the two together for a tremendous party!
The Sorosis building was decorated fabulously and Terri Lobb Catering did a fantastic job as always. The monogram and lighting were a nice touch to everything else that Larae and Robert selected. I truly enjoyed working with them and their family!
Some muscial highlights …
- Intro Song: Let’s Go (Instrumental) by Trick Daddy
- 1st Dance: I Cross My Heart by George Strait
- Cake Cutting: Keeper of the Stars by Tracy Byrd
- Father/Bride: Stealing Cinderella by Chuck Hicks
- Groom/Mother: Simple Man by Lynard Skynard
- Anniversary Dance: Making Memories of Us by Keith Urban
- Last Dance: Fit to be Tied by Sammy Kershaw
On to the photos and video! Check them out, leave me a comment on my blog and as always … enjoy!

This was a unique wedding for me as I didn’t meet Amber and Bryan until the wedding. I did get to work with their amazing wedding planner though … Staci Mandikas from Unique Event Design (click her for Staci’s Blog). She is an absolute pleasure to work and her finger prints were all over the little touches.
This was one cool reception (literally, it was in the 50′s before the reception ended). I was worried that the cold temperature would keep everyone in the tent where the space heaters were located, but when the dancing started everyone stayed warm by shaking their booty’s
Here are some of the musical highlights:
1st Dance: Without You by My Darkest Days
Father/Bride Dance: Put Your Head On My Shoulders by Michael Buble
Groom/Mother Dance: How Sweet It Is by James Taylor
Cake Cutting Song: Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppard
Last Dance: I’ve Had The Time Of My Life (from Dirty Dancing Soundtrack)

Alexandra and Miguel are such an incredible couple! I knew we were going to be a perfect fit from the 1st time I met with them. The were looking for something outside the box and that is exactly what we delivered. It was a small, intimate reception at The Grand Bohemian Hotel. Everything looked gorgeous from the decorations to the bride. We had so much fun, I was asked to do a live mix of Alexandra’s favorite Madonna songs, played everything from Marilyn Manson to Stero MC’s. Also got to use our new LED Starballs, they are what gives the mirror ball effect. Some of the musical highlights:
Introduction: Born To Be My Baby (Accoustic Version) by Bon Jovi
1st Dance: My Baby You by Marc Anthony
Father / Daugher Dance: Morena Ven by Oscar de Leon
Last Dance: Black Velvet by Alannah Myles

Wow, what a great reception!!! Britni and Jonathan were great to work with, Lake Ashton looked amazing, and the light show we provided was awesome
Lake Ashton is one of the most beautiful venues in Central Florida and with the decor that Britni and John picked, it just popped! Britni wanted her reception to be filled with fun and dancing, especially current dance music. I got to mix songs that I rarely get requested at weddings, it was great fun!!
Some of the highlights of the evening:
- 1st dance: Making Memories of Us (this was a special song that John picked for Britni)
- Parents Dances: The Man You’ve Become (John and his mom Janet) and I Loved Her 1st (Britni and her dad Robin)
- Cake Cutting song: What a Wonderful World
- Bridal Party Dance: Friends by Michael W Smith into Cupid Shuffle
Also had the pleasure of finally working with Rachel Absher. Seams like we’ve been running in the same circles for a long time, but I’ve admired her photography work for a long time. Check her out at here (Click Here to see her blog).
This reception was Epic! Check out the photos and video below to see just how awesome it was. Please leave me a comment and as always ENJOY
