Shana and Brandon had one of the coolest wedding receptions I’ve ever been a part of. Not only did their lighting package look amazing at The Castle – Holiday Inn Orlando Resort, but how often does the King come to your reception? Yes, Elvis was in attendance and he honored the couple with several of his greatest hits. When we got to the dancing portion of the reception, their choice in music was awesome! Check out the video to see for yourself
Their package included: Ceremony / D’Elegance Lighting (uplights, monogram, dance floor lighting).
Some musical highlights:
1st Dance: All My Life by K-ci and Jojo
Cake Cutting: Pour Some Sugar on Me by Def Leppard
Last Dance: Don’t Want To Miss A Thing by Aerosmith

This reception is one of the rare ones. Every DJ will tell you that having a morning wedding reception on a Sunday without alcohol equals no dancing. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, just the reality … usually. Not with Brandi and Matthew’s wedding reception though. This group was looking to have a good time and loved to dance. I was blown away!!! You really have to watch the video to appreciate as they didn’t have your typical reception play list either (they started dancing off with Hungry Like The Wolf from Duran Duran), crazy but it so worked
Some musical highlights:
Intro: A Little Less Conversation by Elvis
1st Dance: Time in a Bottle by Jim Croce mixed into Crazy on You by Heart
Bride / Father: Little Miss Magic by Jimmy Buffet
Groom / Mom: Simple Man by Lynard Skynard
Last Dance: Werewolves In London by Warren Zevon
Ok, now on to the photos and video, please leave me a comment on the blog and enjoy!!!

If you’ve been a follower of my blog, you’ll have noticed that I’m behind in my blogging. This is the wedding reception that truly made me stop procrastinating. Last weekend I did Britni and Jonathan Halls reception and got their blog up right away, well Britni was Christa and G’s maid of honor and Christa was Britni and Jonathan’s matron of honor so I had to get this one up ASAP to show equal love for both of my couples
Ok, with that said, this was one of the most beautiful wedding receptions I’ve ever done because of all the personal touches that they put into their reception. You have to check out the photos (way more then I usually post, but there was so much to capture, lol). Christa and G are amazing people and I was so honored to be their entertainer.
KC Photography (my lovely wife Christina and Jenny) did the photography (www.polkphoto.com) and we also brought out our photobooth (www.snapyourselfsilly.com). This reception was a blast!!! Even with the lights up (we couldn’t figure out how to dim them until @ an hour before it ended), this group was ready to party and dance.
Check out their photos and video, please leave me a comment, and as always … enjoy!!!

Wow, what a great party!!! Kayla and Bo brought out a fun group of family and friends and they brought it! Their reception was held at Sun N Lake Golf and Country club. I posted a blog from NYE from their, I love what they’ve done with the renovaitons, this place is top notch all the way! I had a hard time picking photos as their were so many good ones to choose from, but I think you’ll get the idea from what I selected and from the video that this was an incredible reception.
Some of their musical highlights:
1st Dance: God Gave Me You by Dave Barnes
Father/Bride: I Loved Her 1st by Heartland
Groom/Mom: Simple Man by Lynard Skynard

Another amazing event at Lake Ashton! I had the pleasure of working with Gina and Blake Fann for their wedding reception on July 24th. We worked with KC Photographer and if you read my blog you know how much we love them
(www.polkphoto.com). It was a beautiful day, I tried to get a couple photos of the ceremony, but it doesn’t do it justice! We did some uplighting and we light up the cake table from underneath, the lighting looked fantastic!
Once we got to the dancing, our dance floor stayed pack from beginning to end. Gina and Blake were very particular with their requests, so I mixed from a list of their favorites and as you can see in the video (or not see in the video, it was kind of dark, sorry) the play list worked perfectly.
Some of their muscial highlights:
1st Dance: Love’s Holiday by Earth, Wind, and Fire
Father / Bride: Butterfly Kisses
Groom / Mom: Song for Mama by Boyz II Men
Cake Cutting: Smile by Uncle Cracker
Last Dance: Love You Til The End by The Pogues
Grand Exit: Magic Carpet Ride
I had a blast! Check out the photos and video, please leave me a comment, and enjoy!

John and Jenna’s wedding reception was the perfect balance between elegant and fun! The Lakeland Yacht Club is one of those facilities that just screams old money and with the uplighting and decor you wouldn’t have been surprised to see the high society types, but it was also playful and fun. So many cool touches, you would have needed to be there to truly appreciate just how cool it really was. Once we got to dancing, it was lots of current hits meshed to family favorites (like the Chicken Dance). I’m very thankful that I was part of their special day, it was truly a pleasure!!!
Some of their musical highlights:
- 1st Dance: Love Never Fails by Brandon Heath
- Father / Bride: Daddy’s Little Girl by Michael Buble
- Groom / Mother: In My Life by The Beatles
- Cake Cutting: Love and Marriage and How Sweet It Is
- Last Dance: You and I by Michael Buble

Jennifer and Mitch’s wedding reception was outstanding! Lots of family and friend, laughs and tears, dancing and fun!
It was my 1st time to the Royal Crest Room and I have to say that I was impressed! Beautiful facility, excellent staff, and the food was delicious
… everything you could ask for from a venue! I had the pleasure of working with Kristen Weaver from Kristen Weaver Photography (click here for her website). Kristen used to work with us years ago, she has grown so much as a photographer, her work is stunning! Not to mention, I love any photographer that gets out and dances with the bride!!!
Here are some of the musical highlights:
1st Dance: Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Cailet
Bride / Father Dance: I Loved Her 1st by Heartland
Groom / Mother Dance: This I Promise You by NSYNC
Cake Cutting: Sugar Sugar by The Archies / How Sweet It Is by James Taylor
Last Dance: Happy By Secret in Stereo
Had a blast! Check out the photos and video, remember to leave a comment, and enjoy

Larae and Robert were great to work with! When we did our final consult, basically what I was told is that they want their guests to have a great time. Robert wanted lots of country songs that were good ole party favorites. Larae wanted fun dance music. We meshed the two together for a tremendous party!
The Sorosis building was decorated fabulously and Terri Lobb Catering did a fantastic job as always. The monogram and lighting were a nice touch to everything else that Larae and Robert selected. I truly enjoyed working with them and their family!
Some muscial highlights …
- Intro Song: Let’s Go (Instrumental) by Trick Daddy
- 1st Dance: I Cross My Heart by George Strait
- Cake Cutting: Keeper of the Stars by Tracy Byrd
- Father/Bride: Stealing Cinderella by Chuck Hicks
- Groom/Mother: Simple Man by Lynard Skynard
- Anniversary Dance: Making Memories of Us by Keith Urban
- Last Dance: Fit to be Tied by Sammy Kershaw
On to the photos and video! Check them out, leave me a comment on my blog and as always … enjoy!

This was one incredible evening! Elizabeth and Kyle are such an amazing couple, I was looking forward to their reception from the moment that Elizabeth let me know that they wanted me as their DJ
This is the second reception that I’ve had the pleasure of working with this family as I did Kyle’s brothers wedding reception (Matt and Kali, check out there blog by clicking here). Two totally different parties, but both perfect as per their visions of the reception. Elizabeth and Kyle wanted a huge dance party once dinner was over and boy did they know how to party!
Portofino Bay Hotel is one of the most beautiful venues I’ve ever worked, you’d have to see it to truly appreciate just how amazing it really is. I also did the sound for their ceremony (no pics or video, sorry), the weather was perfect that evening. It was like a Cinderella fairytale!!!
Also got to work with Amanda McMahon for the 1st time, great photographer to work with (click here for her blog). Can’t wait to see her photos of Elizabeth and Kyle’s wedding, they should be spectacular!
Some of the musical highlights:
Intro Song: Oh How Happy by Shades of Blue
1st Dance: Love Me Tender by Nora Jones
Cake Cutting: Love and Marriage by Frank Sinatra and How Sweet It Is by James Taylor
Father/Bride Dance: My Girl by Temptations
Groom/Mother Dance: Your Song by Garth Brooks
Last Dance: Somewhere Over The Rainbow / What a Wonderful World by Iz
This is one of those receptions that when I look at the video and photos I’m truly honored that I get the opportunity to work with the absolute best clients in all of Florida!!! Check out hte video, please leave a comment, and as always … enjoy!

This was a unique wedding for me as I didn’t meet Amber and Bryan until the wedding. I did get to work with their amazing wedding planner though … Staci Mandikas from Unique Event Design (click her for Staci’s Blog). She is an absolute pleasure to work and her finger prints were all over the little touches.
This was one cool reception (literally, it was in the 50′s before the reception ended). I was worried that the cold temperature would keep everyone in the tent where the space heaters were located, but when the dancing started everyone stayed warm by shaking their booty’s
Here are some of the musical highlights:
1st Dance: Without You by My Darkest Days
Father/Bride Dance: Put Your Head On My Shoulders by Michael Buble
Groom/Mother Dance: How Sweet It Is by James Taylor
Cake Cutting Song: Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppard
Last Dance: I’ve Had The Time Of My Life (from Dirty Dancing Soundtrack)
