I don’t get the opportunity to work for people I know before they become clients, so that is why this one was so special for me!  Both Courtney and Jason go to the same church that my family does.  It was crazy seeing so many people that I knew at their reception, such a blast!  Ashly Olivier (pulling double duty as both Courtney’s Maid of Honor and as her wedding planner ) did an amazing job with the decor and it’s always a pleasure to work at Lake Ashton!  We provided the lighting decor as well as the entertainment.  I got to work with my good buddy Arnoldo as we worked as the DJ / MC combo.  It was a blast of a night, you should check out the video and photos below (Arnoldo shot all the photos for this one).

Sara and Bryan Zelenenki had their reception at the Kenilworth Lodge on April 16, 2011.  They are my kind of people, not just because their reception was a total high energy blast, but also because they love Great Danes too (we have 3 adult Danes and we breed).  I don’t know if I’ve ever seen Keniworth Lodge look better then for their reception.  We left it all out on the dance floor, you got to check out the video on this one as well as the photos in the gallery. They also had our photo booth – Snap Your Self Silly Photo Booths (if you haven’t played with our booths, you are really missing out!).

I love working at Eaglebrooke Golf and Country Club in Lakeland FL.  I can honestly say that I’ve never had a poor experience there and Joleen and Nick Yunker’s Wedding Reception on March 26. 2011 was no exception.  They were such a sweet couple and the group of family and friends they invited to the wedding were great to work with.  It was a wonderful evening, I’m so very blessed to have so many awesome clients!

It was also great to work with on of my photographer friends, Alex Gilliard of Alex Gilliard Photography.  Here is his blog from Nick and Joleen’s Wedding.  Always great working with him!

Jenn and Brian are such a great couple, if only I could get Brian to like the Buc’s instead of the Dolphins … seriously though, this couple was wonderful and I was so happy to be a part of their celebration.  The had some last minute shuffling of venues and ended up at the Music Ranch in Lakeland.  The venue is better suited for a small concert then a wedding reception, but with a little uplighting and great attitude, the place worked great!  We did the ceremony outside and the reception on the inside.  Once we got to dancing, the floor stayed packed until the very end (actually past the end as we I did an extra set because I was having so much fun).

Their package was the Entertainment Coordinator, ceremony, uplighting, and a small LED Dance Floor Light Show.

Shana and Brandon had one of the coolest wedding receptions I’ve ever been a part of.  Not only did their lighting package look amazing at The Castle – Holiday Inn Orlando Resort, but how often does the King come to your reception?  Yes, Elvis was in attendance and he honored the couple with several of his greatest hits.   When we got to the dancing portion of the reception, their choice in music was awesome!  Check out the video to see for yourself

Bethany and William had the best party in all of Highlands County for their reception.  The roof was raised at Chateau Elan in Sebring Florida on February 26, 2011 as the new Mr. and Mrs. Saures with their wedding party brought the Pain Train Handlebars into action.  This reception was a blast!  We got to work with Delaney Photography and Storybook Weddings, two of our favorite vendors.  The dance floor was packed all night long!  You’ve got to check out the video at the bottom of the page.

It might have been a cold night, but it was a HOT reception!!!  Angela and Gary were looking for something a little bit different musically.  They gave me a list of their favorite Indie Artists and songs and we worked them in for a truly personalized reception.  While not all of their guests knew the song selections, the songs were infectious and the dance floor stayed full all evening long.  You’ve got to check out the video at the bottom to really appreciate just how much fun this reception was.

Ok, with that said, this was one of the most beautiful wedding receptions I’ve ever done because of all the personal touches that they put into their reception. You have to check out the photos (way more then I usually post, but there was so much to capture, lol). Christa and G are amazing people and I was so honored to be their entertainer.

KC Photography (my lovely wife Christina and Jenny) did the photography (www.polkphoto.com) and we also brought out our photobooth (www.snapyourselfsilly.com).  This reception was a blast!!!  Even with the lights up (we couldn’t figure out how to dim them until @ an hour before it ended), this group was ready to party and dance.

It was my 1st time to the Royal Crest Room and I have to say that I was impressed!  Beautiful facility, excellent staff, and the food was delicious … everything you could ask for from a venue!  I had the pleasure of working with Kristen Weaver from Kristen Weaver Photography (click here for her website).  Kristen used to work with us years ago, she has grown so much as a photographer, her work is stunning!  Not to mention, I love any photographer that gets out and dances with the bride!!!

Portofino Bay Hotel is one of the most beautiful venues I’ve ever worked, you’d have to see it to truly appreciate just how amazing it really is.   I also did the sound for their ceremony (no pics or video, sorry), the weather was perfect that evening.  It was like a Cinderella fairytale!!!

Also got to work with Amanda McMahon for the 1st time, great photographer to work with (click here for her blog).  Can’t wait to see her photos of Elizabeth and Kyle’s wedding, they should be spectacular!

This was one cool reception (literally, it was in the 50′s before the reception ended).  I was worried that the cold temperature would keep everyone in the tent where the space heaters were located, but when the dancing started everyone stayed warm by shaking their booty’s

Lake Ashton is one of the most beautiful venues in Central Florida and with the decor that Britni and John picked, it just popped! Britni wanted her reception to be filled with fun and dancing, especially current dance music. I got to mix songs that I rarely get requested at weddings, it was great fun!!

They held their reception at the Terrace Hotel in Downtown Lakeland FL.  I’ve worked at the Terrace many times through the years, but it had been a while since I had been there last.  They have a new staff working the banquets and they were top notch!  The room looked beautiful and everything ran like a well oiled machine.  Danielle and Jason added lots of personal touches that made the reception uniquely theirs.

Sun N Lake Golf Club in Sebring Florida is one of Highland Counties best kept secrets. This is the 2nd time I’ve had the pleasure of working at their new facility and it’s beautiful! The staff is friendly and attentive and the membership is a blast to DJ for. It was a non-stop dance party and these people know how to party! I had the pleasure of being the DJ for Scott and Shawna Whitener’s wedding reception at the Admirals Inn in Winter Haven FL on February 27, 2010.  Shawna and Scott might have been the most laid back clients I’ve ever worked with.  They put their total trust into my hands to do whatever I wanted with their reception.  All I received as requests from them were the 1st dance song and both parents dance songs.  Lots of responsibility, but I enjoyed the creative control

The reception went fantastic!  The guests had a great time and I even offered Scott a job if he’s ever interested (he did the best Groom thank you / introduction of his own bridal party that I’ve ever seen, I wish I would have taped it!).  Check out the photos and video, I truly enjoyed being their DJ / Master of Ceremonies and it’s always a joy to work with the staff at the Admirals Inn.  I also had the opportunity to work with Donna from Everlasting Memories Photography, very nice to work with and extremely professional!

In case I haven’t said it lately, I love my job! I get to work with wonderful couples on one of the best days of their lives. Curtis and Ashley Gillilan allowed me the honor of entertaining them and their guests on February 20, 2010 for their wedding reception. They held the reception at their grand parents home and it was beautiful! Once again I got to work with 3 of Highland Counties best wedding vendors. Gini Beth Henderson from Ginibeth’s Weddings and More was the wedding coordinator and she pulled of another amazing event!  Alex Gilliard was their photographer and is always awesome to work with!  Check out his blog of Ashley and Curtis’s wedding (click here).  The catering was done by the caterer from The Palms in Sebring FL.

Incredible couple … amazing ceremony and reception! I got to perform for one of our own DJs here at A Premier Entertainment, Mr. Josh Fain and his lovely bride Kelly. The got married (and held their reception) at Crystal River Church of God in Crystal River Florida. They had about 150 of their closest family and friends there to celebrate with them. It was a magical evening and I was absolutely honored to be a part of it! The gym area of the church was decorated whimsically with Christmas lights, the food was delicious, and the guests had a wonderful time hamming it up for the photobooth (Snap Yourself Silly Photobooths – 863-324-7333).  When we got to the dancing, it was off the chain!!!  Josh was the perfect groom, on the dance floor and leading the party.  I had so much fun, it was such a blast!

A Premier Entertainment was well represented at Sarah and Aaron Whitaker’s wedding reception as myself, DJ Kyle Davis, and my wife Christina had the pleasure of working with this great couple and their family.  We not only got to provide the entertainment for the reception, we also brought a small light show and our newest, coolest enhancement … Oh Snap! I had the pleasure of doing the very 1st event at Sun N Lakes new facility in Sebring FL.  The new place is beautiful!!!   Our company has worked with Sun N Lake for the last few years doing their membership events, but this was the 1st time that I personally got to perform for them.  Megan and her staff are tremendous to work with!!!  Everything and anything I needed they were there to take care of, just a wonderful experience.  The members are an absolute joy to perform for.  I received lots of great requests and they danced to everything.  In fact I had a full dance floor before dinner was even served.  Just a terrific evening and a perfect way for a Disc Jockey to ring in the New Year.  If this is any indication on how 2010 is going to be, it’s going to be an amazing year!  Thank you Sun N Lake, hope to see you all again really soon

This past weekend Arnoldo and I had the pleasure of working with Matt and Kali Morgan for their wedding reception.  They held it at Eaglebrooke Golf and Country Club in Lakeland Florida (if you have read any of my past blogs, you know that I love Eaglebrooke!  It’s such an amazing site and the staff is excellent.)

Matt and Kali were looking for something different.  They wanted a very elegant, cocktail style reception where the focus was on the guests mingling rather then on dancing.  We played lots of crooner style music (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Michael Buble) mixed in with some country and motown.  If the guests danced, it was a bonus as long as it was in that style.  We did have some dancers (you know there are hard core dancers at every reception, God love em’), but for the most part it was everything that Kali and Matt wanted and hoped for.  I was excited to be able to deliver for them as they are both wonderful people!

Funny side note, Matt’s brother Kyle (the best man) was in my office just 2 days earlier with his lovely fiance Elizabeth.  They booked our services for a reception in 2010, but oddly Matt and Kyle never spoke so neither knew that our company would be entertaining both receptions.  It’s a small world indeed!

I’m so blessed!  Getting to work with couples like Jim and Kristen just drives that point home, I can’t believe that I get to celebrate week in and week out with so many awesome people.  Jim and Kristen had their ceremony and reception at Eaglebrooke Golf and Country Club in Lakeland Florida on July 18, 2009.  A Premier Entertainment was secured to provide sound for the ceremony and entertainment for the reception.  Jim and Kristen asked for me personally to be their entertainer and I was honored to be a part of their special day!  I also got to work again with photographer Tina Sargeant from Sargeant Studios.  Tina is awesome to work with and her photos are amazing … check out her blog (click here), can’t wait to see her photos of Jim and Kristen!

If there was any concern I had before this day, it was the weather.  We’ve been getting rain here almost everyday and the clouds were rolling in during their ceremony.   It held off until after they got their photos done (see the rain coming down in buckets at the beginning of the video, it even knocked out the power for a second).  The day couldn’t have gone any better!

The New Mr. and Mrs. Whatley

Another amazing wedding reception!  I had the opportunity to DJ for the Mele family again (I’ve been friends with Sally since we started our DJ business here in Florida back in 1998).  This time it was Erica getting married to her price charming … Donnie!   They held their reception at Eaglebrooke Golf and Country Club in Lakeland FL.  They ulled out all the stops, everything from the decor to the meal was perfect!  They hired my wife KC Photography’s own Christina Suit (Click to view KC Photography Website) to be their photographer (photos should be on their blog soon).  After we got past dinner the dance floor never emptied (a DJ’s favorite thing, yeah!).  Here are some of he highlights from the reception:
