This past weekend Arnoldo and I had the pleasure of working with Matt and Kali Morgan for their wedding reception.  They held it at Eaglebrooke Golf and Country Club in Lakeland Florida (if you have read any of my past blogs, you know that I love Eaglebrooke!  It’s such an amazing site and the staff is excellent.)

Matt and Kali were looking for something different.  They wanted a very elegant, cocktail style reception where the focus was on the guests mingling rather then on dancing.  We played lots of crooner style music (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Michael Buble) mixed in with some country and motown.  If the guests danced, it was a bonus as long as it was in that style.  We did have some dancers (you know there are hard core dancers at every reception, God love em’), but for the most part it was everything that Kali and Matt wanted and hoped for.  I was excited to be able to deliver for them as they are both wonderful people!

Funny side note, Matt’s brother Kyle (the best man) was in my office just 2 days earlier with his lovely fiance Elizabeth.  They booked our services for a reception in 2010, but oddly Matt and Kyle never spoke so neither knew that our company would be entertaining both receptions.  It’s a small world indeed!

What a wonderful couple, Sara and Bobby were so easy to work!  It was a gorgeous Florida fall night, the food was excellent, and when we got to dancing, this crowd was lots of fun!  This was A Premier Entertainment’s 1st time peforming at the Grant Bly House in Deland Florida.  I was glad that I got to be the DJ, not only were Sara and Bobby super cool awesome, but Debbie and the crew at the Grant Bly House were so easy to work with!  Sara’s dad officiated the ceremony and did an excellent job!  So many personal touches by the bride and the groom ranging from a slides show (we provided the LCD TV to show the slide show) to the trivia questions left on each table for the guest to play during dinner.

I would also like to thank both Sara and Bobby for their service to our Armed Forces.  It’s wonderful people like these two that defend our great nation and pay the price for our Freedom.  I appreciate them and what they do so unselfishly for me and those I love.  Thank you!

Just got back from Brian and Erica Rabeau’s reception at the Rusty Pelican this past Saturday night.  The place was decorated to the 9’s and we added to the decor with our uplighitng, monogram lighting, and dance floor lighting.  It looked amazing!  We got to work with Jenny from KC Photography and it’s always a pleasure, can’t wait to see her photos!!!  The staff at the Rusty Pelican was wonderful to work with, I had been in contact with Don and have nothing but great things to say about him.  They turned the room over in a blink of an eye and helped my crew and I make things look fantastic!

We set up a photo slide show with remote sound in their cocktail room and then when it was time for the reception to begin, all the guest came over to the Grand Ballroom where we were set up.  After the introduction we were served dinner (the food was excellent) and all the formalities happened after dinner.  Once we opened the dance floor though, the party went into overdrive.  So many fun people, we had a blast!  I had Jonah and Amanda from my company with me and they did a great job as always!

Oh What a Night!  I had the honor of being the DJ for Laura and Clayton Carter at the Kenilworth Lodge in Sebring Florida on September 18, 2009.  They choose Gini Beth Henderson from Gini Beth’s Weddings and More as their wedding coordinator and let me tell you, she did an amazing job!  I’ve worked with Gini Beth several times and she is such a pleasure to work with. Every detail was perfect and it makes my job so much easier when I can focus on entertaining … thanks Gini Beth!  They had Ellie Kurz from Kurz Photography (our company has worked with Ellie before, but this was my 1st time) and she was wonderful to work with as well.

The room was jam packed with friends and family.  The food was delicious and right after dinner they cut and served their cake which was also delicious.  After the formalities we opened up the dance floor and it stayed packed all night long.  I had so much fun at this wedding … check out the video below all the photos to see just how awesome a night this was.  Please remember to leave positive comments for feedback … and as always, enjoy! Kyle and I worked together to DJ a small party for eBridge Solutions.  We brought our our game show system as well as karaoke for a night of celebration.  eBridge is one of Tampa Bay’s fastest growing companies and they were celebrating their 8th anniversary.  For a small group, they were so much fun.  This was the best Game Show event we have ever done!  They had so much fun and so did we.  Check out the photos and the video to see for your self.  Amazing night!

The New Mr. and Mrs. Bennett!

We were given the opportunity to DJ for Mark and Rhonda Bennett’s wedding reception.  Mark and Rhonda are such nice people and their family and friends came out to celebrate with them for a brunch reception.  They held everything (ceremony and reception) at the Holiday Inn on North 98 in Lakeland.  The room was decorated very nicely and things went very smooth (with the exception of the Omelette station, which was a hit, but they only had two pans going so it did bottleneck the line, but well worth the wait).  KC Photography handled capturing all their important moments.

Justin and Megan ... so much in love ...

Justin and Megan Tighe’s wedding reception was unbelievable. It was our 1st time as the DJs at Bilmar Beach Resort, but the staff made us feel right at home. The ceremony was outside (I have to give major props to Megan and all the guys in tuxes as it was a heat index of 103 when the ceremony began, but they didn’t so much as complain once) on the beach. After the ceremony they came into the Beach Bar (it was air conditioned thankfully) where after an amazing dinner, Megan and Justin’s party became legendary! Check out the video (if it’s not up yet, check back in a few days), Arnoldo did an unbelievable job with his playlist. So many fun songs that rarely get played at wedding receptions and the dance floor was eating it up! Here are some of the detail highlights:

Lake Placid getting Krazy on the dance floor!

Lake Placid High School’s Prom 2009 “A Black and White Affair” held at the Chateua Elan in Sebring FL was AWESOME!  Your’s truly, DJ Special K kept the dance floor packed from beginning to end!  We played songs straight from the charts, old school favorites, and lots of great fun dance music.  We had our 9×12 screen showing music videos, theme photos, and shoutout.  It was the hottest Prom in all of Highlands County this year.  You got to check out the photos (very elegantly decorated).  They also had dinner and when they had their deserts, mmm mmm mmm good (cheese cake, traditional cake, and an ice cream bar).  I had such a amazing time performing for the students and working with their staff (special thanks to Mr. Kevin Whitney, Lake Placid’s Prom Sponcer 2009 … you are The Man!).   Video and photos are below, please make sure to leave great feed on the blog if you like what you see.  As always … enjoy

This is the 2nd year in a row that we have produced JW Mitchell’s “Night Of Excellents” Awards show and it couldn’t have gone much better!  We brough out a 10.5X14 foot screen (which we run the power point presentation, photos of artwork from their Art Department, and live video feed), 2 live video cameras, lighting for the presenters and for the audience, and sound reinforcement so everyone could hear perfectly!  We cranked our lights up 13 feet in the air to give the best coverage.  We didn’t get any footage of the actual program as we were too busy making sure that everything behind the scenes worked in order to allow the presenters to do the best job possible!  Only a couple of photos and a short video showing off the setup.  If you like what you see, please leave feed back on the blog and as always, enjoy …
