Joanne and Paul were wanting a little something different.  They wanted their family and friends to have a great time, but they didn’t want to use all the usual song  choices.  It worked great!  I wish I could show you the video, but as was the case for my last couple blogs, my dog ate my video camera so you’ll just have to look at all the pretty photos!  The held their reception at the Tampa Yacht and Country Club, it’s a beautiful venue and they were great to work with!

I knew I’d love working with Michell and Natalie when I saw that Michell’s email address was: iamasexymitch@xxxxx.xxx.  Absolutely classic!!  This reception was lots of fun (wish I had my video camera to show you, but unfortunately my dog ate my camera).  Their wedding reception was held at Arbor Reception and Event Center in Arcadia (might not be open any more as I was told this was the last event they were doing before shutting down their doors), it was a neat venue … I hope that someone else keeps it open!  Got to work with Pam from Southern Exposure and Paul & Matt from Motion Video (always a pleasure to work with all 3 of them).

I don’t get the opportunity to work for people I know before they become clients, so that is why this one was so special for me!  Both Courtney and Jason go to the same church that my family does.  It was crazy seeing so many people that I knew at their reception, such a blast!  Ashly Olivier (pulling double duty as both Courtney’s Maid of Honor and as her wedding planner ) did an amazing job with the decor and it’s always a pleasure to work at Lake Ashton!  We provided the lighting decor as well as the entertainment.  I got to work with my good buddy Arnoldo as we worked as the DJ / MC combo.  It was a blast of a night, you should check out the video and photos below (Arnoldo shot all the photos for this one).

Talk about bringing down the roof!  Amber and Andy had rented a massive out door tent to cover all of their guests / dance floor / and food, but God had another plan.  The rain and wind damaged the tent, forcing them to have to relocate only a couple hours before the beginning of their reception.  Under the competent leadership of their wedding planner Ginibeth Henderson (GiniBeths Weddings and More) and with the help of her family and friends, they were able to turn the Golf Cart Garage into an impromptu wedding venue.

Most brides would have lost it, but Amber was truly graceful, taking everything in stride.  She was the life of the dance floor later and their guests had an incredible time!

Was it perfect?  No, but it was amazing to see so many people working together to make Amber and Andy’s reception something to remember!  It’s a reception that I won’t ever forget and under any circumstances, this reception would be considered a total success, but with everything that went on … this is a reception that will go down as EPIC!

It’s always cool when you can mix work with a vacation!  That is what we were able to do with Chrissy and Chuck Piper’s wedding reception on April 30, 2011.  They had their reception at the KOA in Okeechobee FL.  Since it was a couple hours away from our office, me and the family took our camper and made a weekend out of it!  I had never been to the KOA before, their conference center was pretty good for a camp ground.  Chrissy and Chuck must have invited all of Okeechobee cause the place was packed!  Lots of dancing and fun for all this night.  We also provided them with our photo booth (Snap Yourself Silly Photo Booths).  They even had a friend perform their 1st dance song for them, it was truly a unique and fun reception!

Sara and Bryan Zelenenki had their reception at the Kenilworth Lodge on April 16, 2011.  They are my kind of people, not just because their reception was a total high energy blast, but also because they love Great Danes too (we have 3 adult Danes and we breed).  I don’t know if I’ve ever seen Keniworth Lodge look better then for their reception.  We left it all out on the dance floor, you got to check out the video on this one as well as the photos in the gallery. They also had our photo booth – Snap Your Self Silly Photo Booths (if you haven’t played with our booths, you are really missing out!).

I love working at Eaglebrooke Golf and Country Club in Lakeland FL.  I can honestly say that I’ve never had a poor experience there and Joleen and Nick Yunker’s Wedding Reception on March 26. 2011 was no exception.  They were such a sweet couple and the group of family and friends they invited to the wedding were great to work with.  It was a wonderful evening, I’m so very blessed to have so many awesome clients!

It was also great to work with on of my photographer friends, Alex Gilliard of Alex Gilliard Photography.  Here is his blog from Nick and Joleen’s Wedding.  Always great working with him!

A Premier Entertainment was in the house for JW Mitchell Prom 2010 at A La Carte Pavilion on May 1, 2010. We brought out the crew with me as the Crew Chief, DJ Kyle Davis as your DJ and MC, and Jake as the light tech. It was an amazing night and the A La Carte Pavilion looked awesome! You have to check out all the photos and video to truly appreciate just how much fun was had by all …. especially us.

I had the pleasure of being the DJ for Scott and Shawna Whitener’s wedding reception at the Admirals Inn in Winter Haven FL on February 27, 2010.  Shawna and Scott might have been the most laid back clients I’ve ever worked with.  They put their total trust into my hands to do whatever I wanted with their reception.  All I received as requests from them were the 1st dance song and both parents dance songs.  Lots of responsibility, but I enjoyed the creative control

The reception went fantastic!  The guests had a great time and I even offered Scott a job if he’s ever interested (he did the best Groom thank you / introduction of his own bridal party that I’ve ever seen, I wish I would have taped it!).  Check out the photos and video, I truly enjoyed being their DJ / Master of Ceremonies and it’s always a joy to work with the staff at the Admirals Inn.  I also had the opportunity to work with Donna from Everlasting Memories Photography, very nice to work with and extremely professional!

In case I haven’t said it lately, I love my job! I get to work with wonderful couples on one of the best days of their lives. Curtis and Ashley Gillilan allowed me the honor of entertaining them and their guests on February 20, 2010 for their wedding reception. They held the reception at their grand parents home and it was beautiful! Once again I got to work with 3 of Highland Counties best wedding vendors. Gini Beth Henderson from Ginibeth’s Weddings and More was the wedding coordinator and she pulled of another amazing event!  Alex Gilliard was their photographer and is always awesome to work with!  Check out his blog of Ashley and Curtis’s wedding (click here).  The catering was done by the caterer from The Palms in Sebring FL.
