A Premier Entertainment was well represented at Sarah and Aaron Whitaker’s wedding reception as myself, DJ Kyle Davis, and my wife Christina had the pleasure of working with this great couple and their family. We not only got to provide the entertainment for the reception, we also brought a small light show and our newest, coolest enhancement … Oh Snap! Photobooths. We had such a great time performing for them at the Quality Inn Conference Center in Sebring, FL. The night was magical, love was in the air (not to mention snowflakes … in Florida)!!! Not many people can say they got married in Florida while it was snowing, lol. To see all the fun we had, check out the photos and video below. Also be on the lookout for my next blog which is all about their photo booth experience! Remember to leave some love on the bottom of the page and as always … enjoy! This past weekend Arnoldo and I had the pleasure of working with Matt and Kali Morgan for their wedding reception. They held it at Eaglebrooke Golf and Country Club in Lakeland Florida (if you have read any of my past blogs, you know that I love Eaglebrooke! It’s such an amazing site and the staff is excellent.)
Matt and Kali were looking for something different. They wanted a very elegant, cocktail style reception where the focus was on the guests mingling rather then on dancing. We played lots of crooner style music (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Michael Buble) mixed in with some country and motown. If the guests danced, it was a bonus as long as it was in that style. We did have some dancers (you know there are hard core dancers at every reception, God love em’), but for the most part it was everything that Kali and Matt wanted and hoped for. I was excited to be able to deliver for them as they are both wonderful people!
Funny side note, Matt’s brother Kyle (the best man) was in my office just 2 days earlier with his lovely fiance Elizabeth. They booked our services for a reception in 2010, but oddly Matt and Kyle never spoke so neither knew that our company would be entertaining both receptions. It’s a small world indeed!

What a wonderful couple, Sara and Bobby were so easy to work! It was a gorgeous Florida fall night, the food was excellent, and when we got to dancing, this crowd was lots of fun! This was A Premier Entertainment’s 1st time peforming at the Grant Bly House in Deland Florida. I was glad that I got to be the DJ, not only were Sara and Bobby super cool awesome, but Debbie and the crew at the Grant Bly House were so easy to work with! Sara’s dad officiated the ceremony and did an excellent job! So many personal touches by the bride and the groom ranging from a slides show (we provided the LCD TV to show the slide show) to the trivia questions left on each table for the guest to play during dinner.
Some of the highlights:
- 1st Dance: When You Say Nothing at All by Keith Whitley
- Parents Dances: I Loved Her 1st by Heartland and Perfect Fan by Backstreet Boys
- Cake Cutting: How Sweet It Is by Marvin Gaye
- Last Dance: Waiting On A Woman by Brad Paisley
I would also like to thank both Sara and Bobby for their service to our Armed Forces. It’s wonderful people like these two that defend our great nation and pay the price for our Freedom. I appreciate them and what they do so unselfishly for me and those I love. Thank you!

Just got back from Brian and Erica Rabeau’s reception at the Rusty Pelican this past Saturday night. The place was decorated to the 9’s and we added to the decor with our uplighitng, monogram lighting, and dance floor lighting. It looked amazing! We got to work with Jenny from KC Photography and it’s always a pleasure, can’t wait to see her photos!!! The staff at the Rusty Pelican was wonderful to work with, I had been in contact with Don and have nothing but great things to say about him. They turned the room over in a blink of an eye and helped my crew and I make things look fantastic!
We set up a photo slide show with remote sound in their cocktail room and then when it was time for the reception to begin, all the guest came over to the Grand Ballroom where we were set up. After the introduction we were served dinner (the food was excellent) and all the formalities happened after dinner. Once we opened the dance floor though, the party went into overdrive. So many fun people, we had a blast! I had Jonah and Amanda from my company with me and they did a great job as always!
Some of the highlights of the evening:
1st Dance: At Last
Center Piece Give Away: Yakety Sax
Introduction: 20th Century Fox and 2001 Space Odyssey
Last Dance: It’s Your Love
I truly enjoyed getting to know Brian and Erica. They are such special people and I know they are going to have an amazing life together. Hope to get asked back for their 25th wedding anniversary party :) Check out the photos and video below. Please remember to leave positive comments …. and as always, enjoy! Oh What a Night! I had the honor of being the DJ for Laura and Clayton Carter at the Kenilworth Lodge in Sebring Florida on September 18, 2009. They choose Gini Beth Henderson from Gini Beth’s Weddings and More as their wedding coordinator and let me tell you, she did an amazing job! I’ve worked with Gini Beth several times and she is such a pleasure to work with. Every detail was perfect and it makes my job so much easier when I can focus on entertaining … thanks Gini Beth! They had Ellie Kurz from Kurz Photography (our company has worked with Ellie before, but this was my 1st time) and she was wonderful to work with as well.
The room was jam packed with friends and family. The food was delicious and right after dinner they cut and served their cake which was also delicious. After the formalities we opened up the dance floor and it stayed packed all night long. I had so much fun at this wedding … check out the video below all the photos to see just how awesome a night this was. Please remember to leave positive comments for feedback

I’m so blessed! Getting to work with couples like Jim and Kristen just drives that point home, I can’t believe that I get to celebrate week in and week out with so many awesome people. Jim and Kristen had their ceremony and reception at Eaglebrooke Golf and Country Club in Lakeland Florida on July 18, 2009. A Premier Entertainment was secured to provide sound for the ceremony and entertainment for the reception. Jim and Kristen asked for me personally to be their entertainer and I was honored to be a part of their special day! I also got to work again with photographer Tina Sargeant from Sargeant Studios. Tina is awesome to work with and her photos are amazing … check out her blog (click here), can’t wait to see her photos of Jim and Kristen!
If there was any concern I had before this day, it was the weather. We’ve been getting rain here almost everyday and the clouds were rolling in during their ceremony. It held off until after they got their photos done (see the rain coming down in buckets at the beginning of the video, it even knocked out the power for a second). The day couldn’t have gone any better!
They choose the following for their package:
- Entertainment Coordinator Package
- Uplighting
- D’Elegance Dance Floor lighting package
- Dancing Under The Stars Lighting effect
- Video Slide Show (we used the 40″ LCD Screen on a stick of truss instead of the 5×7 video screen w/ projector because of space and for effect)
- Basic Ceremony Package
Here are some of their highlights:
- Introduction: Ain’t No Mountain High Enough (parents), Smooth (Bridal Party), Balada Para Adelina (Love Story), Party Up! for Jim and Kristen
- First Dance: Lost In This Moment by Big & Rich
- Parent Dances: It Won’t Be This Way For Long by Darius Rucker (Kristen’s dance with her dad), Song for Mama by Boyz II Men (Jim’s Dance with his mom)
- Cake: Sugar Sugar and How Sweet It Is
- Bouquet and Garter: Mission Impossible - Eye of the Tiger - I’m Too Sexy - Single Ladies - Girl Fight - Switch - (Dude) Looks Like A Lady
- Last Dance: At Last by Beyonce

Tony and Melissa's 1st Dance!
Spent my July 4th seeing fireworks of another kind, the kind you only see between two people that are really in love. That was the case for Tony and Melissa Lobozzo. They held their reception at Eaglebrooke Golf and Country Club in Lakeland Florida and it was beautifully decorated. Eaglebrooke is one of the premier venues in all of Central FL and as always the food and service was incredible! The personal touches that Tony and Melissa did for their guests were incredible, from the personal notes on everyone’s place cards to the bible verses on the sweet tarts, it was uniquely them.
I was asked to play contemporary Christian music for guest arriving and dinner music. It was well received by the Lobozzo’s guests. Many of them complimented us on the selections and we even had a couple of the youth perform a dance to one of the songs they use in their youth worship, very cool! Their photographer for the day was Jenny from KC Photography and it’s always a pleasure to work with one of our own! Jenny did a great job and you’ll have to check out the photos when they get them up on their blog (KC BLOG).
Your going to have to watch the video to see just how much fun we had at this reception, the only thing that could have made it better is if we could have kept going! Here are some of the highlights from the reception:
Intro: Get Ready for This and Peter Gunn Theme
First Dance: I Will Be Here by Steven Curtis Chapman
Father / Daughter Dance: Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman
Mother / Son Dance: Song For My Song by Mikki Vereck
Cake Cutting: Love and Marriage by Sinatra and How Sweet It Is by Marvin Gaye
Bouquet and Garter: Pink Panther / Rocky / Another One Bites The Dust / Single Ladies / Monday Night Football Theme
Last Dance: She’s Everything by Brad Paisley
Grand Exit: Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye by Steam

The perfect moment!
After meeting with Anna and Toby, I had no doubt that their reception was going to be a non-stop fun train! I was their wedding DJ for their wedding ceremony and reception at the Grand Plaza Hotel in St. Petersburg Beach FL. Everything from the room decor to the bridal party attire screamed beach wedding. Even their cake was decorated with sea shells and brown sugar to look like the beach. They pulled out all the stops, the Grand Plaza did an amazing job with dinner (the prime rib was spectacular!). So many highlights, your going to have to see the photos and video to really appreciate it!
Here are some of the song choices for their events:
Intro: Sirus for parents / Kassidy = Gives You Hell / Tyler = Boom Boom Pow (after short intro) / Julie and Jimmie = Fire Burning by Sean Kingston / Becky and John to Jump by Van Halen / Toby and Anna Look At What the Cat Dragged In by Poison
1st Dance: One Love by Sister Hazel
Parents Dances: Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Middler and Ready Set Dont Let Go by Billy Ray Cyrus
Bouquet and Garter: Legs / Another One Bites The Dust / In The Ayer /Single Ladies / Monday Night Football Theme / Dude Looks Like A Lady
Cake Ceremony: A Sorta Fairytale by Tori Amos
Last Dance: Everything by Lifehouse

The New Mr. and Mrs. Bennett!
We were given the opportunity to DJ for Mark and Rhonda Bennett’s wedding reception. Mark and Rhonda are such nice people and their family and friends came out to celebrate with them for a brunch reception. They held everything (ceremony and reception) at the Holiday Inn on North 98 in Lakeland. The room was decorated very nicely and things went very smooth (with the exception of the Omelette station, which was a hit, but they only had two pans going so it did bottleneck the line, but well worth the wait). KC Photography handled capturing all their important moments.
Some of the highlights of the reception:
1st Dance: Can’t Help Falling In Love With You - Elvis
Cake Cutting: Love and Marriage
Rhonda’s Dance with her son Dennis: Because You Loved Me - Celine Dion
Mark’s Dance with Denise and Iris: My Girl - Temptations
Bouquet and Garter: Let’s Get It On for removal, Rocky and All Shook Up for the Garter, My 1st My Last My Everything and It’s Raining Men for Garter, Pink Panther for Replacement
Last Dance: 1st Time Ever I Saw Your Face by Roberta Flack
Grand Exit: Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye by Steam

The New Mr. and Mrs. Whatley :)
Another amazing wedding reception! I had the opportunity to DJ for the Mele family again (I’ve been friends with Sally since we started our DJ business here in Florida back in 1998). They ulled out all the stops, everything from the decor to the meal was perfect! They hired my wife KC Photography’s own Christina Suit (Click to view KC Photography Website) to be their photographer (photos should be on their blog soon). After we got past dinner the dance floor never emptied (a DJ’s favorite thing, yeah!). Here are some of he highlights from the reception:
